Support a cause that goes further than the miles you ride on event day!

The Wildflower Century is the primary fundraiser for Chico Velo, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been part of making Chico, CA a safe and bike-friendly community for more than 40 years. Chico Velo's mission is to promote bicycling for transportation, recreation, and health through public education, advocacy, and community stewardship. We are able to work towards our mission by advocating for local bike issues, hosting events that promote bicycling, and providing community programs like TrailWorks, Adopt-a-Path, and Bike Valet.

Let's be real - the cost to put on an event the size of the Wildflower Century is, well, like riding a century! All registration fees, sponsorships, merchandise sales and donations, go directly towards hosting this beloved cycling event and maintaining Chico Velo's programs all year long. We are a very small team of dedicated staff and board members and greatly appreciate everyone who makes this event possible.

By contributing a donation, you are, most importantly, ensuring the Wildflower Century is possible for years to come as we simply could not host the event without the help of our donors and supporters. You are also providing critical funds for Chico Velo to continue making a difference locally and beyond for bike and pedestrian safety, expansion of bike infrastructure, and resources for a more bike friendly community.

*A note on rider fees:
Rider fees are just that, fees that allow you to ride the Wildflower! These fees go towards the cost of renting our event venues, securing route permits, and providing the food/beverages to riders. We do our best to keep rider fees as low as possible so that the event is available to more people.
