Wildflower Century

About the event

2020 Wildflower Century Ride has been CANCELED.
More information available here.

The Chico Velo Wildflower Century first began in 1981 on a very rainy day with a handful of riders and one route option.  Today the ride attracts thousands of riders from all over the world partaking in one of seven different route options ranging from 12 miles to 125 miles throughout scenic Butte County in the springtime.  Riders challenge themselves with hill climbs and/or enjoy flat roads through the almond orchards.

Chico Velo strives to create a memorable rider experience for all Wildflower Century participants.  With a strong emphasis on food the running joke with this ride and the locals, is that you actually gain weight on this ride and not lose due to all the delicious food options.  The Wildflower Century is truly a ride to be enjoyed no matter the route you choose to ride.

All proceeds from the Chico Velo Wildflower Century go directly toward Chico Velo's Outreach and Advocacy.  Learn more about all Chico Velo does here.

Post-Ride Meal

Once you've finished your ride, join us in the Commercial Building for your post-ride meal featuring food grown and produced by local farmers! Details and menu to follow.

Note: Flatflower 12, Childflower 12 participants, and non-riders may purchase a meal ticket at the Wildflower Store for $15 on the day of the event or when you register for the event.
